Movavi VideoSuite > How-To > Where To Upload Video - the complete list of video sharing sites

Sharing videos on the Web is hot! It's been just a year since video sharing really got going, and already we take it for granted. But perhaps you're getting confused by the increasing number of video sharing sites and can't figure out what's best. Well, don't worry. We've done the hard work for you - and you'll be surprised to learn that the most popular sites aren't necessarily the best choices for sharing.

When choosing which video sharing sites to review, we took into account their popularity, ease-of-use, file size limitations, format flexibility, and options to download, post or podcast your video. Then we grouped the sites by the benefits they offer their visitors:

1. Best sites to publish VIRAL videos - comedies and weird movies.
2. Best sites to share NEWS.
3. Best sites to share HOME videos with family and friends.
4. Best sites to EDIT SHARED videos online.
5. Best sites to upload and MONETIZE your videos.

All of the sites in the chart are free, and most allow you to upload sizable video files. The file formats accepted differ from site to site - some even recommend a particular video format and resolution to achieve the best online quality. In our chart, you'll find the required formats and characteristics for each site (but of course, if your video doesn't match the requirements of the site, you can always use Movavi VideoSuite to quickly convert your video to an acceptable format and size!)

A final note: don't ignore the small print. Look through the sites' Terms of Use. Most free video sharing services grant themselves a license to monetize and advertise your uploaded content any way they can, which is no help to you if you're trying to earn money from your videos.

Yahoo Inc., for instance, grants itself the license to use, distribute, reproduce, modify, adapt, publicly perform and publicly display your video for advertising, promotional or commercial purposes in any media format or medium and through any media channels.

But at least, armed with this basic information, you can go out and explore sharing your video masterpieces. Good luck!
